Live SL versus BAN: Ebadot is having trouble

With five balls remaining in his over, Ebadot is cramping up as a result of the players’ fatigue from the heat. He does pick up his bowling again, but the third ball of the over results in a boundary. 9 balls needed, 17 needed. No, it’s worse than that—it’s no ball. It is a no-cost hit. I’m sorry! On strike, Karunaratne receives two. So 14 off 9.

Live coverage of the Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka game.

Bangladesh scored a respectable 183/7 in their allotted 20 overs. It will be challenging for Sri Lanka to find this. Sri Lanka needs 184 runs to be eligible for the super fours. Miraz made an excellent start. Afif kept the middle order running smoothly, and Mosaddek Taskin added the finishing flourish. It appears that the best approach to bowling on this pitch is to take pace off the ball.

SL vs BAN Live: Tonight’s background is a verbal battle.

There has been some pre-game tension between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Dasun Shank, the captain of Sri Lanka, struck the opening shot and declared, “Afghanistan has a world-class bowling assault. We are aware of Fizz’s [Mustafizur Rahman’s] skill as a bowler. Shakib [al Hasan] is of the highest caliber. However, there isn’t another elite bowler in the side outside of them. Bangladesh is a simpler opponent if we compare it to Afghanistan.

Clearly, that didn’t go over well in the Bangladeshi camp. The day before, the feisty team director and former player, Khaled Mahmood, took a shot. He said, “I don’t understand why Dasun made that remark. Undoubtedly, Afghanistan has a superior team. He claimed that our starting lineup only contained two bowlers, but I can’t find any in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh at least boasts elite bowlers like Mustafiz and Shakib. Even that is absent there.

To demonstrate that Khaled Mahmood was serious, Bangladesh scored a very respectable 183. Can Sri Lanka follow through on their captain Shanaka’s lofty promises?

Live SL vs BAN: Bangladesh is five down.

As Sri Lanka breaks the fifty-century streak, Afif Hossain leaves. 39 off 22 balls, Afif Hossain. After 4 overs, Dilshan Madushanka concedes just 26 runs while dismissing Afif Hossain. 144/5 in 16.5 overs, BAN

SL vs. BAN live: Mahmudullah turns inside out

It was the inning’s best shot. The stunning beauty of Mahmudullah from the inside out against Hazaranga He plays the shot extremely effectively. The memory flashes back to a match in Bangladesh in 2010 where, as a rookie, he unfurled it against legspinner Amit Mishra to get everyone’s attention. along with his excellent slog sweep, which is stylistically similar to Hansie Cronje’s rendition. He also unfolded that slog sweep, in fact just a ball prior to the inside-out four. Mahmdulllah is nearing the end of his career, much like Mushfiqur Rehman. His continued participation has drawn criticism in Bangladesh, but with their T20 league’s BPL failing to produce any new attractive players, he has a chance to maybe retire with the T20 world cup. He might very well receive a good send-off if he can keep pulling off the inside-out drives and slog sweeps and turn the clock back. Only time will tell.

Live coverage of SL vs. BAN: Shakib Al Hasan continues to baffle

like our on-the-ground representative in Dubai Sandip G recently commented on the way he lost to Mujeeb-ur-Rehman of Afghanistan, saying that Shakib “did not learn from the prior mistakes as he was yet again terminated by his carrom-ball in an identical manner.” He still catches fire in the same manner. He suffered a well-known defeat tonight against Dheekshana, another spinner who squeezes the ball out in different ways. A floating off spinner from around the stumps was what Shakib was aiming for with a powerful inside-out shot over the wide mid-off region, thinking the ball wouldn’t turn. However, it eventually did fall on the stumps. Shakib has a history of making mistakes that a batsman of his calibre may avoid due to a sense of predetermination. But before he collapsed, Karunaratne launched a superb counterattack, lapping him for two straight fours. It’s unfortunate that he keeps falling into the same patterns.

Live SL vs BAN: Concerns for Rahim’s future

How long will Mushfiqur Rahim be able to play for Bangladesh in T20 matches? One would assume that they value his experience, but the runs haven’t been coming in steadily. He has played 103 T20s and averages 19.5 with a 115 strike rate. Both the average and strike rate have decreased more during the past two years. He received a solid nut from Chamika Karunaratne in his match with SL that straightened and rebounded outside, despite the fact that his feet were moving in all directions at once. The ball stabbed at him by the time he pulled his front foot back to get closer to the retreating rear leg. He was left with little choice but to nip the ball behind.

Two wickets in two innings

Bowled!! Mehidy Hasan Miraz strikes because Mehidy Hasan Miraz is unable to read the googly. Mushfiqur Rahim later trips and collapses. For Sri Lanka, it was a significant wicket. Bangladesh is three down after 63 runs.

Live commentary from the toss between SL and BAN.

We would prefer to field first, but we have no control over that. Although we struggled to bat against Afghanistan, today is a new day. Our crew has undergone three changes, and we have undergone several changes overall. That ought to work for us today, hopefully. Today, we just want to play some decent cricket; we don’t care what the press is saying. “
