The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2022 is preparing for its auction for the December 2022 season, which will take place from August 5 to August 6, 2022 in Mumbai. More than 500 players will be up for auction during the Pro Kabaddi League’s ninth season. 44 crores of rupees will be spent by the 12 PKL teams to bolster their rosters.
While top performers like Pradeep Narwal and Pawan Sehrawat will be up for auction, all of the teams have retained 19 quality players. Raiders, defenders, all-arounders, and other subcategories will each have a separate auction. Interestingly, the top 24 players from the top two teams of the Bangalore-based Khelo India University event 2021 will also be present in the ninth season.
A total of 111 players are kept across three different categories, including 19 Elite Retained Players (ERP), 13 Retained Young Players, 41 Franchisees-nominated New Young Players (NYP), 38 New Young Players (NYP), and 41 New Young Players (NYP).
In each Pro Kabaddi League season, a franchise is permitted to keep up to four new young players (NYPs) and up to six players under the ERP (Elite Retained Player) category. Check out this list of players that each team has kept.

Each team in season 9 will have a budget of Rs. 4.4 crores. The retention decision taken by the team will, however, affect how much of the total purse is decreased.
